David I-Chen Lin, conductor, began his musical journey at the age of 4 with piano lessons, and started taking violin lessons when he was 7 years old in Taiwan. Upon moving to Canada in 2003, he continued his piano lessons with Mrs. Aster Lai, and studied violin with Maestro Tak-Ng Lai. David received his A.R.C.T. Performer Certificate for piano from Royal Conservatory of Music in 2005. He served as concertmaster of the Canadian Sinfonietta Youth Orchestra in 2005 and 2006. As a teenager, David has had a great amount of performing experience in the Greater Toronto Area as a member of the Canadian Sinfonietta Youth Orchestra and the Chinese Artists Society of Toronto. In the summer of 2013, David re-joined members of CSYO, toured and performed five concerts in Europe as co-concertmaster and soloist. David has also enjoyed success as a prize winner in numerous competitions in both Toronto and London area.
David entered the University of Western Ontario in 2007 with entrance scholarships and studied violin with Professor Mel Martin at the Don Wright Faculty of Music. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in Honours Performance in 2011. Between 2012 and 2014, David studied Violin Performance with Professor Yehonatan Berick at the University of Toronto, and completed his Master of Music degree in spring 2014.
Since graduation, David has been performing with many orchestras in Ontario, including the Canadian Sinfonietta, Chinese Artists Society of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra. Additionally, he has also been performing as a chamber musician all around the GTA. In October of 2016, David was also appointed as part of the live musicians in world-renowned neoclassical pianist Richard Clayderman’s Toronto concert at Roy Thomson Hall.
David embarked on his conducting journey in 2012 as the conductor of the intermediate ensemble of Yip’s Chamber Orchestra. In 2019, he was appointed as the principal conductor for the Chinese Artists Society of Toronto Youth Orchestra. Currently, he conducts both ensembles weekly and has put on numerous performances and concerts.
David is an experienced music teacher who has been teaching violin and piano privately and at several music academies since 2009. He completed the teacher development training with Southwestern Ontario Suzuki Institute in 2011 and is a certified Suzuki teacher. Besides teaching, conducting and orchestral playing, David is also an active freelance musician who performs violin and piano at receptions, weddings, and various events.
Eros Tang is an accomplished violinist and a certified RCM instructor with advanced specialization in violin, viola and piano. He has an active private studio dedicated to teaching each student according to their individual goals and learning styles. Eros has taught over 100 students ranging from elementary to university and adults at all levels in private and group settings. Many of his students have been awarded First Class Honours at RCM examinations and have been accepted to performing arts secondary schools and universities for music.
He holds a Bachelors and Masters of Music in Performance at the University of Toronto, an Artist Diploma at the Glenn Gould School and is a DMA Candidate at the University of Oklahoma. Eros has studied and worked with renowned pedagogues including: Dr. Timothy Ying, Erika Raum, Kelly Parkins-Lindstrom, and Dr. Min-Jeong Koh.
In addition to his private teaching and performance initiatives, Eros is the concertmaster and director of the Chinese Artists Society of Toronto orchestra, a director of the Willowdale Music Collaborative for group masterclasses, and a conductor of the CAST youth orchestra.

Joseph Wu is a violinist, violist and conductor from Hong Kong. He premiered Piazzola’s Four Seasons with String Appassionata, and has been performing around the world including Japan, China, Czechoslovakia, Vienna and the USA. He has also served as an adjudicator of different music competitions. Joseph has been participating orchestras in GTA including guest concertmaster of North York Concert Orchestra, Chinese Artists Society of Toronto (also board member), guest violinist of Sudbury Symphony Orchestra, guest violinist/violist of Ontario Cross-Cultural Music Society. Joseph has extensive teaching experiences. His inspirational teaching method has won him Outstanding Teaching Award in the International Music and Arts Competition 2011. His students have won numerous awards including Toronto Kiwanis Festival. He has conducted students’ recitals, namely ‘Enlightening’, with local famous instrumentalists. All the ‘Enlightening’ recitals have received high acclaims. He has also been invited to host music education seminars in various music schools, and was the ‘Star Tutor’ of Parsons Music (Hong Kong) in 2018. Joseph has been appointed the conductor of a string orchestra, and various youth and school orchestras. From 2012, he has been the Principal Conductor of the Hong Kong International Youth Philharmonia. He led HKIYP to perform in major galas and for a music tour to Taiwan in 2014. He also conducted the world premier concert ‘Nutcracker’ featuring animation Dustykid in 2015 which received huge applause. ‘Truly inspirational concert that proved classical music is fun and conventional!’ –Metro Radio (Hong Kong)
Haoqian (Hannah) Zheng was born into a musical family and grew up surrounded by the sound of symphonic music. Both of her parents are members of a local symphony orchestra in Shandong Province, China—her father as conductor and her mother as concertmaster. She began piano studies at the age of five and started learning the violin with her mother at seven. Over the years, she studied under distinguished professors such as Lin Zhaoyang and Liang Danan at the Central Conservatory of Music, Ding Zhinuo and Tan Guozhang at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and the renowned violinist Sheng, Zhongguo.
Hannah graduated from The Boston Conservatory with a Master of Music degree in Violin Performance, as well as a Graduate Performance Diploma. She has extensive teaching experience, working with students ranging from complete beginners to advanced university-level players. In addition to private violin lessons, she has also taught group classes, chamber music, and music theory. Many of her students have gone on to study at prestigious institutions such as Boston University, Berklee College of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama in the UK, and Tianjin Conservatory of Music. From 2018 to 2023, Hannah taught violin at the School of Continuing Education of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing.
Since 2020, Hannah has also been active in the field of film and television music, recording violin soundtracks for numerous Chinese films, TV dramas, and documentaries. Her recording credits include The Wandering Earth II, Hi, Mom, The Battle at Lake Changjin, and the acclaimed documentary series Aerial China. She has also recorded for albums by well-known Chinese artists including Wang Feng, Lay Zhang, Xu Song, and Li Ronghao.
After relocating to Toronto, Hannah has become an active performer in the local music scene, collaborating with several symphony orchestras. She has appeared as Concertmaster with the Rosedale Symphony Orchestra and the North York Concert Orchestra, showcasing her artistry and leadership on stage. In addition, she has performed with the Toronto Festival Orchestra and the Chinese Artists Society of Toronto, contributing to a wide range of musical projects and cultural events.
Haoqian (Hannah) Zheng 出生于音乐世家,成长在交响乐的氛围之中。父母均任职于山东省的地方交响乐团。父亲为该乐团指挥,母亲担任乐团的首席小提琴。她自五岁起学习钢琴,七岁开始随母亲学习小提琴。曾先后师从于中央音乐学院教授林朝阳、梁大南,上海音乐学院教授丁芷诺、谭国璋,中国著名小提琴演奏家盛中国先生。
Hannah 毕业于波士顿音乐学院(The Boston Conservatory)小提琴表演专业,先后获得音乐硕士学位(Master of Music)和演奏家文凭(Graduate Performance Diploma)。她拥有丰富的教学经验,学生涵盖从零基础的初学者到大学高级水平的演奏者。除了个人小提琴课程外,她还曾教授小组课、室内乐以及乐理课程。她的部分学生已成功考入波士顿大学音乐系、伯克利音乐学院、英国 Guildhall School of Music and Drama、天津音乐学院等知名学府。2018 至 2023 年间,Hannah 在中央音乐学院继续教育学院担任小提琴教师。
